Machine Learning in Handwriting Analysis
Since greentheo.scroggles.com was heading in a more green/political/philosophical direction I thought I would start another blog mostly for sharing code snippets, discussing Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and other things Math related.
You might say that this is an Applied Math blog. (Yikes!)
So to kick it off here is an interesting article I found today about a company who provides a handwriting analysis service for potential employers.
That’s where Candidate Insight comes in. The solution reveals hundreds of hidden personality traits, most of which have never been available to employers prior to hiring.
“Imagine the benefit of knowing, with ninety-five percent accuracy, that the candidate a client is about to make an offer to is argumentative, dishonest, moody and inflexible?” Ryan Vener, Written Inc.’s vice president, queried. “We can even tell clients if the candidate is violent. No other hiring tool or other personality assessment even comes close to our accuracy and insight.”
I’d love to see what kind of algorithms they’re using. Also I would love to see more about their error margins as well.
